A NEWBORN NANNY SPECIALIZES IN NEWBORN - EIGHTTEEN MONTHS She is proficient in all the newborn duties that include feeding, changing, scheduling, soothing, formulas and bottle feeding and she also is capable of nurturing that child up to 18 months. She will help the child develop the skills necessary to go from newborn to toddler. She will be able to help them develop their communication skills and cognitive skills. She will teach them to entertain themselves and to be creative. She will know the proper nutritional foods to feed them. She understands the importance of sleep. She will be able to help the parents move the child to the next level or development. She is a definite asset to the family. She understands colic, reflux, preemies and the care of multiples. She will understand the milestones and be able to advise the parents should she see warning signs. We have included potty training in this guide although it is our opinion that 18 months is too young to train a child to use the potty. ![]() A Newborn Nanny may have the following responsibilities: ►Provide a safe environment for the baby to play and sleep in. ►Provide nutritional meals and snacks. ►Clean the nursery, do the babies laundry and perhaps light housework. ►Provide child activities that continually encourage proper development. ►Provide a detailed description of the child's day for parents review. ►Be able to advise the parents on newborn - toddler issues. ►Provide transportation to appointments and play dates. ►Provide proper structure and discipline when necessaryINCLUDED IN THE COURSE
